~Port Call at Baltimore, MD and Visit to Washington, D.C.~

Port of Baltimore & Washington, D.C.

 

During its around-the-world training cruise, the JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self Defense Force) Training Squadron visited Washington and Baltimore, and attended the wreath laying ceremony at The Tomb of the Unknowns, Arlington National Cemetery on July 27th. The crew also attended the reception at Ambassador’s Residence and fostered relationships with the U.S. military members, including Secretary of Air Force Michael B. Donley and Admiral Gary Roughead, Chief of Naval Operations.


The JMSDF Training Squadron Band attended the outside music performance at Port of Baltimore on July 28th, and set sail for Lisbon (Portugal), its next way port, on the 29th.
