On September 13th, Ambassador Fujisaki attended the 42nd Annual Joint Meeting of the Midwest U.S.- Japan Association and the Japan – Midwest U.S. Association at Detroit, Michigan and gave a keynote speech.  There were many distinguished participants, including Mr. Yuzaburo Mogi, Chairman & CEO, Kikkoman Corporation, and Japan Conference Chairman, and Hon. James R. Thompson, Senior Chairman, Winston & Strawn & former Governor of Illinois, and U.S. Conference Chairman; Governor Jennifer Granholm of Michigan, Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana, Governor Jim Doyle of Wisconsin, Governor Dave Heineman of Nebraska, and Governor Jay Nixon of Missouri.  In addition, Governor Kiyoshi Ueda of Saitama Prefecture and Governor Yukiko Kada of Shiga Prefecture attended from Japan.
