Reception Celebrating the Conferring of the Grand Cordon of the Paulownia Flowers

On October 3 (Monday), a reception celebrating the conferring of the Grand Cordon of the Paulownia Flowers upon Senator Daniel Inouye was held at the Ambassador’s Residence. Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, a number of Members of Congress, and many other distinguished guests including Diet Members from Japan gathered to honor Senator Inouye’s many contributions to the Japan-US relationship throughout his career.
