Japan-U.S. Architectural Influences Lecture

Come listen to David Malott, Director at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in New York City, who has over 15 years of experience as an architectural designer and project director on a diverse range of building projects.

At KPF he has served as Senior Designer for the recently completed 492-meter Shanghai World Financial Center, which is one of the world's tallest buildings. The iconic structure has been recognized with several prestigious design awards including the SARA Design Award for Excellence (2009) and the ACEC National Engineering Excellence Awards Honor Award (2009). Currently he is the Senior Designer for the new 490-meter-tall International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong and he is leading the design of the new Ping An IFC in Shenzen.

In Japan, Mr. Malott played a key role in the design of the 3.5-million-SF Roppongi Hills mixed use project in Tokyo, the largest private-sector urban redevelopment project in Japan's history.

A person attending a JICC event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer/videographer, and/or the event organizers.
