Mitsuko Delivers J-Film

Presented by JICC, Embassy of Japan and the Japan Commerce Association of Washington DC

Mitsuko's parents think she's living happily ever after in California, but the truth is that she's alone, broke and about to lose her apartment in Tokyo. On top of that, she's 9 months pregnant. But Mitsuko is too feisty to let anything get her down; she goes where the wind takes her and can make do anywhere.

The wind takes Mitsuko to her childhood home, where she finds friends from long ago struggling to make it through hard times. The landlady of her former home is bed-ridden and the owner of the local noodle shop is trying to keep his business open. Mitsuko is back in town, though, and she won't let anyone give up, but who is going to help Mitsuko through her own hard times? Perhaps the nephew of the noodle shop owner, who has waited 15 years for Mitsuko to return?
