Friday, September 30th - 6:30pm
JICC Auditorium
Deep in the mountains of small-town Japan, a gaggle of elementary students gather for summer camp. Far from the watchful eyes of adults, they pass their carefree days exploring the wonders of nature. But everything changes when they discover a wounded puppy in the woods.
After nursing the creature back to health, the kids are amazed to receive a heartfelt ‘thank you’ instead of a wagging tail. Soon they learn that the puppy is actually an alien named Pochi, sent from the dark side of the moon on an important mission to research one of the universe’s most rare and valuable substances. When Pochi offers to repay the children’s kindness by taking them wherever they’d like to go, the kids embark on an intergalactic escapade they’ll never forget!
Nominated for the Animation Award at the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Japan Media Arts Festival, Welcome to the Space Show is sure to appeal to movie maniacs of all ages. Say sayonara to summer with this fun-filled adventure the whole family will enjoy!
