Your health and safety is of the upmost importance to us. Please read the list below for details on our latest COVID-19 Policy & Guidelines. and the following safety measures have been created based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local government guidelines. We ask that all visitors take these safety measures into account before and during their visit to our center. For other questions or concerns, please contact us in advance at jicc@ws.mofa.go.jp. Thank you for your continued interest in our events and programs—we look forward to seeing you in person!
Staying Home
If you currently have a fever or other severe cold/flu-like symptoms, we ask that you be considerate of our other guests by staying home. If you have experienced or been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case within the last 10 days, please reschedule your visit for a later date.
Masks
As of August 15, 2022, masks are not required in our center's main exhibition & gallery space during regular business hours. This rule is subject to change on a case-by-case basis for special events. However, we encourage guests to continue using their masks at their own discretion.
For events that take place inside of our center's auditorium (i.e., a more enclosed space), we are requiring all guests to wear a mask. If needed, we are happy to provide a mask to visitors who request one.
Capacity Limits
During this time, our capacity will still be limited for most events (both daytime and evening) happening in both our auditorium and exhibition & gallery space. We are still welcoming all walk-ins during our regular business hours. For visitors who would like to practice social distancing, we highly recommend visiting the JICC during off-peak hours. Evening events will still require the usual event pre-registration process, ticket check-in at the entrance door, and a security check.
