Join us for a conversation focused on the world of Japanese bonsai as seen through the eyes of American fine artist, Adam Jones. With the foundation of Japanese bonsai aesthetics as a starting point we will discuss the history and principles of Japanese bonsai.
Bonsai has a long history in Japan and continues to be a popular practice around the world today. You can even purchase and see bonsai trees here in Washington D.C.
Adam Jones has a degree in fine arts, including ceramics, painting, and printmaking. In 2011 he moved to Japan to pursue the study of bonsai.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required for security purposes. Program begins at 6:30PM. Doors open 30 minutes prior. No admittance after 7:00 PM or once seating is full. Registered guests will be seated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that seating is limited and registration does not guarantee guests a seat.
