Since 2006, the JICC has been organizing free Japanese film screenings in the DMV area. We are so proud to offer a diverse monthly film program and a fun way to engage with Japanese arts & culture! Three murders have occurred in the Tokyo area. Left behind in all of the murders is a series of baffling numbers hinting at a future crime. Detective Nitta goes undercover as Hotel Cortesia staff in order to find the culprit before the crime can take place. But the first-rate clerk Yamagishi, who is also supervising him, refuses to let Nitta's investigation compromise the hotel's service standards.

Japan's Official Submission to the Academy Awards After a long and unsuccessful struggle to get pregnant, Satoko and her husband decide to adopt a child. Over the next six years, the middle-class couple and their young son Asato settle into a comfortable, albeit routine, life. The family’s orderly existence is shattered by the arrival of Hikari, a young woman claiming to be Asato’s biological mother, demanding his return. As tensions mount, Satoko grows more and more emboldened to defend her family.
