Reception in Honor of the dedication and friendship of
U.S. Ambassador and Mrs. John V. Roos

Ambassador's Residence

 

 

On August 21, 2013 Ambassador Sasae and Mrs. Sasae hosted a reception at the Ambassador's Residence in appreciation of the friendship and dedication of Ambassador Roos to the Japan-United States relationship.


 

 

 

For the past four years, as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador Roos has made significant contributions to enhancing the Japan-U.S. relationship, including assistance after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The reception featured remarks by Ambassador Sasae, Ambassador Roos, and Senior Advisor to President Barak Obama, John P. Holdren, as well as a toast by Lieutenant General Burton Field. In addition to the honored guests and speakers many other distinguished guests attended.
