When a deaf student is bullied by her elementary school classmates, the consequences leave lasting scars for everyone involved. One of the former classmates, now a social outcast, is tormented by guilt and sets out to make amends with those he has hurt. What follows is an emotional journey of forgiveness, empathy, and self-acceptance.
Adapted from the manga of the same name, A Silent Voice was critically acclaimed upon its release and achieved both domestic and international success, later winning the Japanese Movie Critics Awards for Best Animated Feature Film.
