2020 Autumn Conferment of Decoration
Minister-Counselor David Miller

 On November 3, 2020 (Japan Time), the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2020 Autumn Imperial Decorations. David Miller, the former Agricultural Minister-Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Japan, is among this year’s foreign recipients. In recognition of his contributions towards strengthening the relationship between Japan and the United States of America in food culture and agricultural relations, he will receive the Gold Rays with Rosette of the Order of the Rising Sun.

In particular, during his third tour of duty in Japan, as Minister-Counselor, he made a significant contribution to strengthening the relationship between Japan and the United States on food culture and agricultural relations.
